Knowing Your Union Member Rights

As a member of a Union, you have certain rights. These rights are afforded to all Union member under the Department of Labor “Bill of Rights”.

In addition, the IAM at the Grand Lodge Convention establish a member rights doctrine for its’ members. No one who pays dues to a Union should be denied any of these rights. The leaders of Local and District Lodges should make should all rights are given to the member(s).

Just to recap the rights of members of labor organizations under law, as well as the fact that the dues paying members are the most important and the most empowered group in the structure of any union.
